Shipping & Delivery

We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address that you give us for delivery at the time you place your order. No goods are despatched on Saturdays or Sundays.

Free Delivery is provided on 'gifts' only; other delivery charges may apply to 'trophies & awards'.

Free Delivery is only available to addresses with the United Kingdom. For deliveries to outside of the UK other options are available.

You will be provided with the total price of the transaction including postage and packing before you complete your purchase. There are no hidden extra costs. All our delivery charges are set out on our website.

Delivery will be made as soon as possible although any date or period for delivery should be as indicative only. If a product is in stock we aim to send it out on your behalf to your specified delivery address within the time specified. If any item is not in stock we will aim to deliver within 14 days but in any event your delivery will be made not later than 28 days after your order. If we cannot dispatch an item to you within the specified time we will notify you and at your request we will cancel the order and refund your money in full.

Should your order not arrive at your selected delivery address within 15 working days of your order date then you must notify us by email or telephone (please see estimated dispatch and delivery times on the product descriptions).

We can not be held responsible for delays in the delivery caused by any third party. Should your order not arrive within 15 working days since the order date we may ask you to wait a further 15 working days from the date your order was dispatched to allow time for any delays caused by the postal service. After the 15 working days from order date we will be happy to offer a 'like for like' replacement of your order or a full refund. Business days are defined as any weekday (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) excluding public or bank holidays

We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident and weather.

Privacy & Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. Newtons of Congleton does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of delivery. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns & Replacements

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at

Any items that have been personalised are none refundable unless faulty, please ensure when raising orders that all spelling is correct as we will not be held responsible.

You may cancel your contract with us for any none engraved goods that you order at any time up to the end of the 5th working day 'starting the day after delivery of the goods. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract, nor will you have to pay any penalty. However, you may not cancel orders on any goods that have been engraved, if your item has been engraved then we will not be able to refund the amount.


Making a purchase through Newtons of Congleton could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

You will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This is to indicate that we have received your order, but does not indicate that a contract exists between us. Acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, will be indicated when we send you the receipt of payment. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or in the unlikely event that we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the unlikely case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Engraved Gifts

We aim to dispatch engraved gifts within 48 hours (2 Business Days as defined in 'Shipping & Delivery') of the order being placed

Our professional engravers will use their skills to ensure that the layout of any engraved text and or images are presented in the best possible way.

We will not be held responsible for any miss-spelling; all gifts will be engraved using the selected font and inscriptions provided to us by you through the website.

If any images are to be engraved, our engravers may need to remove backgrounds from the picture to create the best possible output. Again our highly skilled engravers will work to ensure that you have the best possible picture. Any pictures will need to be supplied in jpeg format.


If the goods that we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged, defective or the delivery is of incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 3 working days of the delivery of the goods in question. If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 28 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address detailing the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods. If you notify a problem to us under this condition, our only obligation will be, at your option; • to make good any shortage or non-delivery; • to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or • to refund you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we chose.

Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem that you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.

You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. The importation or exportation of our goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.

We will not be responsible for any personal injuries or death caused through the use of any products supplied by us.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if: • We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods that you have ordered – we will notify you in writing via e-mail • We are unable to deliver the goods to your area.

If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
